Wanna buy the most secure phone in the world? Well, you can get one for you but keep those $14,000 ready! Yes, you read right. Sirin Labs, startup based company claims that its new smartphone is the most secure smartphone in the world. The company has named it ‘SOLARIN‘ . The startup amassed about $72 million in venture funding and the new smartphone is made with an emphasis on ‘military-grade’ security.
The company is headed by Tal Cohen and Fredrik Oijer, the former alumni of Google and Sony. The device comes with many hi-fi security features, enough to make it the most secure phone in the world. The price of this smartphone is really expensive but not so much new as there are brands like ‘Vertu’ producing some of the most expensive and premium smartphones. Sirin Labs seems to occupy the vacuum left by Blackberry as no bigger smartphone brand is able to fill it yet! The expensiveness can be felt by the fact that this device is now dubbed as the ‘Rolls Royce‘ of Smartphones. The device is ‘aimed at the international businessperson who carries a lot of sensitive information but doesn’t want to compromise on usability, quality or design’
As mentioned in the beginning, the SOLARIN smartphone will be a high-end device with high-end specifications. First of all, the components of this device cost nearly 200$ only but the main USP of this device are its high-end security features that make it the most secure phone in the world. The phone comes with Military-Grade encryption and a “Security Switch” that will put the phone in “Shielded Mode” which will let the user make secure calls. In its recent press release, the company explained the security features of the device. The company mentioned that-
SOLARIN comes with Zimperium state-of-the-art mobile threat protection that thwarts the broadcast array of advanced device, network and application mobile cyber attacks, without impairing usability or functionality of a top-of-the-range smartphone. In addition, SOLARIN incorporates the most advanced privacy technology, currently unavailable outside the agency world.
SOLARIN comes with a 5.5-inch 2K display and is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset coupled with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. There is a 23.8MP rear camera with Laser Autofocus and an 8MP front-facing camera. It comes with WiGig (802.11ad) multi-gigabit Wi-Fi technology and under the hood, you will find a 4,040 mAh battery. The phone surely lacks the latest processor and also the latest Android OS version as the device is still running Android Lollipop 5.1.1.
At last, coming at the pricing and availability, the SOLARIN will be priced at $14,000 and will be available at the online website of Sirin Labs from this June. The device is in the news for a couple of days and so we thought to bring the whole story to you. At last, we are leaving the official trailer of this device so do check that out-
