AMOLED displays are the only display that is looked upon as the flagship display in flagship phones. But, the Chinese growing Company OnePlus used Optic AMOLED display for its 2016’s flagship the OnePlus Three which came out to be 80% same as the AMOLED itself. The Founder Carl Pei has mentioned in a series of tweets that the Giant won’t sum it up with the OnePlus’ future phones without the Optic AMOLED Display.
He also mentions that the Optic Display is OnePlus’ take on the AMOLED. Now, the main reason behind these tweets were that there’s been a shortage on the production of the new flagship the OP3 due shortage of the display.
Moreover, Carl Pei announced that the company’s engineers have started fine tuning and making small modifications to the AMOLED display inside the OP 3. He also added that the R&D is now working to improve the Optic AMOLED display, for the future devices that are yet to come. Moreover, the company was hinting about a new device before the year end. But now the founder clears the fog by saying we will stick to one device per year motto.
So, now that we know there wouldn’t be any OnePlus 3 Mini until next year i.e 2017. What do you guys think? Do you care about the Optic AMOLED or the AMOLED on your device?
