Motorola Moto M is Finally Official

China Exclusive Maybe!!!

Motorola Moto M leaked a lot of times, revealing the key specifications of the device. As expected today the phone has been made official by the company today. First of all, if you have read all the previous leaks of the device, there is no new stuff in today’s official launch that will surprise you. All the specs that were leaked are true. Also, the device has been launched in China at the moment is there is so far no statement by the company to bring it to other markets.

First thing first, the screen. The Motorola Moto M features a 5.5-inch Full HD screen with a 2.5D curved glass . The phone is powered by a MediaTek Helio P15 octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz along with the Mali-T860MP2 GPU. There is 4 Gigs of RAM and 32 Gigs of internal storage. And Yes, the storage is expandable via microSD card. Coming to the cameras, there is 16MP rear and 8MP front-facing camera. Below the rear camera is the fingerprint scanner and this makes Moto M the first Moto device with a rear facing fingerprint camera. Also, there are no stereo speakers whatsoever on the front and the speakers have been moved to the bottom. On the front, there is a Moto logo on the bottom side. Also, there is no Moto Dimple and we have only a flat Batwing logo on the bottom rear side.

Another weird thing in Moto M is the UI. There is no longer the stock Android. There is a custom UI, just like in Lenovo’s devices. Anyways, the device runs Android Marshmallow and there is a 3,050 mAh battery under the hood. The USB Type-C port is also there on the bottom and luckily the headphone jack isn’t gone! And yes, the phone isn’t waterproof, instead it is just spill-proof.

Well, as mentioned before, there is no information about the phone coming in other markets except China. Also, since it has MediaTek Chipset, there are chances that it is just China exclusive. Anyways, the price is $295 which is almost good. If the device comes to other markets with Snapdragon chip, it could be a good hit. What do you think? Do let us know via the comments section. :-)
