MediaTek Says Samsung is a Customer

Along with the high-end premium devices, Samsung has also launched a lot of new and upgraded budget devices. We all know that these devices either have a Snapdragon chip or Exynos. But, chipmaker MediaTek has revealed that Samsung has partnered with them so we can assume to see the chips soon in the budget oriented Samsung devices. It is expected that the chips will be most likely seen on the Tizen devices. Last time something about MediaTek and Samsung was heard a couple of years before but it seems both the companies have finally done a deal!

HOW WE CAME TO KNOW?

MediaTek

This information was revealed by the Chairman of the chipmaker company, Tsai Ming-kai. When he was asked about the Note 7 incidents, he said –

It is not possible for me to comment on (Samsung Note 7′s explosions) as Samsung is a customer.

Well, he clearly said that ‘Samsung is a Customer’. So, this means we will soon see MediaTek-powered Samsung devices. And since MediaTek is the largest chip manufacturer in China, it pretty much makes sense if Tizen-powered phones will be launched with these chips. Well, it seems Samsung is looking to focus Exynos chips for high-end devices only and the void for the low-end devices will be filled by MediaTek chips. So, what are your opinions about this? Do let us know via comments section. 😀
