We all know the amazing memory optimization of the iPhones. This enables the iPhones with 2GB of RAM beat some smartphones having even 4 or 6GB of RAM. Because in the end, it doesn’t depend on the amount of RAM you have got but on the RAM optimizations. We have seen an example in One Plus 3. Well, I won’t go into detail. But, this doesn’t mean Apple must keep the RAM only up to 2GB on its iPhones because many users out there use the amount of RAM to conclude how much better a smartphone can perform. It seems Apple has felt this also and so the company is going to upgrade the amount of RAM in its upcoming iPhones ( iPhone 7 or 6SE) . Well, a new report says the same 😀
3GB RAM ON iPHONE 7?
Here is what the report says :-
Increasing built-in memory capacity at next-generation smartphones, including new iPhone devices, will further ramp up demand for memory products in the third quarter, said sources, noting that the mobile DRAM capacity of the next-generation iPhone is expected to increase to 3GB from 2GB previously, while those for new Android phones are expected to raise to 6GB from 4GB.
In terms of the amount of RAM, Android devices are continuously making progress as we already have 6GB RAM device in our hands. On the other hand, the Apple users are still about to experience 3GB of RAM in their iPhones. Isn’t it weird? If iPhone 7 (6SE) comes with enhanced software then we will surely need some extra RAM. Also, it is expected that only the 5.5-inch model will get 3GB of RAM. But, as I said before, RAM management matters. And Apple knows how to do it the best. Well, everything will be clear when the device(s) will be launched in September. Till then, stay tuned for more updates 🙂
