Brace Yourself, CyanogenMod 14.1 is Coming

Based on Android 7.1 Nougat…

The moment Google unveiled the Pixel devices with Android 7.1 Nougat, we were expecting to see the custom ROMs based on the Android 7.1 soon. Well, the wait is finally over as the most popular custom ROM maker, CyanogenMod has finally announced that the CyanogenMod 14.1 is landing. CM14.1 will kick off its first nightly builds based on the Android 7.1 Nougat for a few devices. But, at the moment, the themes etc won’t be available for the users but the development is in progress.

CyanogenMod 14.1

  • Nexus 5X
  • Xiaomi Mi3/Mi4
  • Nexus 6P
  • LG G3
  • Moto G variants
  • LG G4
  • Samsung Galaxy S5
  • OnePlus 3
  • ASUS ZenFone 2

The Official Website says :

Bug reports are OK, but please don’t file bugs for missing features since this is all a work in progress. Now is a great time to get involved with the project too- CM is returning to it’s community-driven roots and there are endless ways to help out.

If you have any one of the devices, you can try the CyanogenMod 14.1 Nightly Build. But, if you find any bugs ( that will be there for sure), then keep in mind that this is still in development. Also, CyanogenMod has said that more devices will be added to the list in future so you can hope to see your device in the list soon. Anyways, what are your thoughts? Wanna try it? Do let us know via the comments section. :-)
