Developer Ports Android 7.0 Nougat AOSP For Nexus 5!

Well, a few days back Google released the Android 7.0 Nougat. But, with the release of Android Nougat, we came to know that Google didn’t include the LG Nexus 5 in the list of Nexus phones getting the latest Android update.

But, we are all aware, ‘NO’ is a word that doesn’t exist in the dictionary of developers. Same is the case here! One of the developers from XDA has successfully ported the AOSP Android 7.0 Nougat for LG Nexus 5. Well, you read right! LG Nexus 5 users can now experience the latest Android OS on their device. Thanks for Android OS being open source. 😀

Also, read about the Cyanogen 14 for the new Android Nougat and when can you expect it!

ANDROID NOUGAT ON LG NEXUS 5!

Thanks to  Santhosh M, a developer from XDA who successfully ported Android Nougat for Nexus 5. But, like all new ROMs, it too has some bugs.

What works?
*.Wifi
*.RIL
*.Bluetooth
*.Camera
*.Audio (works for calls & basics. )
*.Other stuff which I might not have mentioned under not working

What doesn’t?
*.Camera pics not getting saved
*.Many more

So, there a lot of bugs but hopefully they will be fixed in any further update. The download links are given at the end of the article so you can experience the Android Nougat on your LG Nexus 5 by downloading the .zip file. Just flash it by any custom recovery and you’re good to go!

NOTE: WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE IF ANYTHING HAPPENS WITH YOUR DEVICE DURING THE PROCESS OF FLASHING OR ANYTHING ELSE AND ALSO DO MAKE SURE TO COMMENT IF YOU ARE SUCCESSFUL WITH IT!
